Meet Tom Chege: Our Dependable Head of Mesozi Labs
Tom Chege joined the Mesozi team in February 2019, as a Software Engineer Intern in the engineering department. As part of the engineering team he has been working on a number of Odoo projects for our clients. In September 2020 he took up the role of Head of Mesozi Labs where he has been very instrumental as a product lead for each of the client projects and ensuring their business needs are met.
Professionally
Chege graduated from School of Business, Maseno University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He has had the privilege to work as a Bank Teller, a Trade Development Representative, a Sales Administrator, as well as a Sales Manager in a vehicle and land selling company.
Along the way he decided to drop everything and joined Moringa School. It is here that he learnt how to do coding and that is how he developed a passion for software development and switched his careers. He has gained significant experience which has been critical to the growth of the Mesozi Labs. Besides technical experience, he has been able to nurture leadership skills through which he has been able to come up with strategic approaches to build, grow and scale Mesozi Labs. He is an awesome team-leader who will go to any extent for the well-being of his team & team members.
Outside Work
Chege is a great father to 3 children, an awesome husband and a superb brother. His family is everything to him. He has never lost sight of the importance of his family. He is a man of his values and enjoys spending time with his children. In his free time, he loves watching soccer, and playing FIFA. He also describes himself as a well organized driver.
